You Deserve a Moment, Too

Rita relaxing on a brown leather couch under a cozy blanket while reading Hope for Today, a floral-covered devotional book.

When was the last time you did something simply because it made you feel good?

Not because somebody needed you. Not because it was on the list. Not because you were trying to squeeze one more thing into an already busy day.

Just for you.

If you’re anything like me, taking care of yourself is usually the first thing pushed aside. We take care of family, work, appointments, errands, the house, and all the unexpected things that somehow become ours to handle. By the time there’s finally a quiet minute, we’re tired—and we promise ourselves we’ll make time tomorrow.

But tomorrow gets busy, too.

Your moment doesn’t have to be big

I’m not talking about planning an expensive weekend away or finding hours of free time that magically appear on the calendar. Sometimes taking care of yourself looks like:

  • Drinking your coffee while it’s still hot
  • Reading one chapter of a book
  • Coloring for twenty minutes without feeling guilty
  • Putting on something comfortable that makes you feel good
  • Sitting outside and enjoying a little fresh air
  • Lighting a candle and letting the house stay quiet for a few minutes
  • Saying “not today” when your plate is already full

Small moments count. They may be the only moments available some days—and they still matter.

You’re allowed to be on your own list

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It doesn’t mean you love anyone else less or that you’re ignoring your responsibilities.

It simply means you matter, too.

You don’t have to earn a break by finishing everything first. Let’s be honest—everything is never completely finished. There will always be another load of laundry, another message, another appointment, or something else waiting for your attention.

You’re still allowed to pause.

Why this belongs at BeYOUtifully Comfortable

This is the feeling I want BeYOUtifully Comfortable to give you.

Yes, you’ll find comfortable clothing and bags filled with personality. But you’ll also find coloring books, mugs, cozy comforts, peaceful little finds, and other reminders to slow down for a minute.

Not because buying something is the only way to care for yourself—it isn’t.

I simply want this to be a place that reminds you that comfort matters, confidence matters, and making a little room for yourself matters.

Take your moment

So here’s my challenge for you today: choose one small thing that’s just for you.

Ten quiet minutes. A favorite drink. A comfortable outfit. A chapter of your book. Whatever helps you breathe a little easier.

The rest of the list will still be there when you’re done.

Take your moment. You deserve it. 💜
